HSE has now listed CL:AIRE on their website http://www.hse.gov.uk/asbestos/training.htm as a recognised provider for training courses designed to meet the requirements of Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 for working with Asbestos in Soil and Construction & Demolition Materials as detailed in CAR-SOIL (www.claire.co.uk/asbestos). The HSE's website details the requirements for asbestos information, instruction and training for operatives and states: "Every employer must make sure that anyone who is liable to disturb asbestos during their normal work, or who supervises those employees, gets the correct level of information, instruction and training so that they can work safely and competently without risk to themselves or others."
CL:AIRE has developed Asbestos Awareness (AA) and Non Licensable Work (NLW) including Notifiable Non-Licensed Work (NNLW) courses for companies whose employees may be required to undertake work on or in ground and/or construction & demolition (C&D) materials that may potentially be contaminated with and where they could become exposed to asbestos.
