The CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Code of Practice (DoW CoP) promotes the sustainable reuse of excavated materials on redevelopment sites.  When fully implemented, it provides a robust framework for construction projects to align with circular economy objectives.

The DoW CoP enables:

  • the reuse of both contaminated/uncontaminated materials on their site of origin and between sites within defined Cluster projects
