Asbestos in Soils
National Organisation of Asbestos Consultants (NORAC) and Joint Industry Working Group on Asbestos in Soil and Construction & Demolition Materials (JIWG) have released technical guidance for asbestos in soils. The technical guidance note provides important clarifications with respect to the investigation and hazard/risk assessment of land contaminated with dispersed asbestos fibres and fragments of asbestos-containing materials.

Methodology for asbestos air monitoring on brownfield remediation sites
National Organisation of Asbestos Consultants (NORAC) and Joint Industry Working Group Asbestos in Soil and Construction & Demolition Materials (JIWG) has published a new Technical Guidance Series document providing an industry overview of a proposed agreed methodology for asbestos air monitoring on brownfield remediation sites — the High-Volume, Low Limit of Quantification (HiVe-LLoQ) approach.
