British Standard 8485:2015+A1:2019 - Code of practice for the design of protective measures for methane and carbon dioxide ground gases for new buildings is currently subject to a 5-yearly review by British Standards Institution Committee EH/4 Soil quality. EH/4 must decide whether to confirm or revise the standard. The committee is not seeking detailed comments at this stage but would welcome any general opinions as to whether the standard is in need of revision and, if so, the area(s) of concern.
