To support the publication of the Joint Industry Working Group’s Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012: Interpretation for Managing and Working with Asbestos in Soil and Construction and Demolition (C&D) materials: Industry Guidance (shortened name CAR-SOILTM)”, CL:AIRE is delighted to announce the launch of a package of training courses across the UK.
CAR-SOILTM is the authoritative document interpreting the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012 or the Regulations) as applied to working with ground materials contaminated by asbestos, having been prepared with the support of the Health and Safety Executive. It presents the definitive explanation of how the legal requirements of CAR 2012 have been interpreted to apply to work with asbestos contaminated soil and C&D materials.
The guidance in CAR-SOILTM is underpinned by the fundamental requirements expressed in the Regulations, in relation to the protection of employees from risks related to exposure toasbestos, but is set within a carefully considered framework designed specifically for soil and C&D materials.
