Running for the third year in a row, the Contamination Expo Series saw its most successful show to date. PRYSM Group is very proud of the show, and how it continues to evolve and grow year on year.
Moving the event to the bigger and more centralised NEC in Birmingham allowed for easier access to the exhibition and levelled the playing field for relevant visitors for whom a trip to the Excel in London previously may not have been possible. Because of this, the Contamination Expo Series witnessed an incredible footfall of 2701 delegates representing industries including land remediation, demolition, asbestos, construction, emergency response, site remediation, safety regulators, local authorities and waste disposal. This footfall was bolstered by a further 700 delegates who registered for RWM this year, but have historically attended the Contamination Expo Series, highlighting how effective the co-located shows are at providing a broader delegate base.
The seminar lineup was the talk of the floor throughout the event, and rightly so as the amount of pioneering professionals delivering deeply interesting seminars was a key draw for a lot of the visitors. CL:AIRE had one of the busiest seminars across the show (see below), and Seamus Lefroy-Brooks delivered a revealing seminar looking into the National Brownfield Forum’s National Quality Mark Scheme. Closing the show on day 1, Lucy Gallagher and Stephen Box from the Environment Agency and High Speed 2 both gave a well-received and informative seminar on how HS2 is to deliver their land remediation work on Europe’s biggest infrastructure project.
With such success seen from the show’s first venture to the NEC Birmingham, next year is set to be even bigger and better than ever before. 90% of visitors said they would attend next year, reflecting how tremendous the event was for all those involved.
