Balfour Beatty Vinci is a long-established joint venture between two global leaders in the delivery of critical infrastructure. Balfour Beatty and Vinci started working together over 30 years ago when both were members of the TransManche Link consortium which delivered the Channel Tunnel. Balfour Beatty Vinci is responsible for designing and building part of the most exciting and challenging railway project in Europe: HS2. Dounreay Site Restoration Limited (DSRL) is decommissioning Britain's former centre of fast reactor research and development. Owned by a consortium of Cavendish Nuclear, CH2M and AECOM, DSRL is funded by the NDA. The site is being returned to as near as practicable its original condition by; decommissioning and demolishing nuclear and non-nuclear facilities; segregating and packaging radioactive and non-radioactive wastes for storage or disposal; characterisation and remediation to ensure the site is safe for future generations. The experimental nature of many of its facilities means decommissioning requires innovation and great care, with Dounreay recognised as one of Europe's most complex nuclear site closure projects.
Earth Exchange UK Limited is the privately owned company behind the cutting-edge platform designed to assist UK developers and contractors with the sustainable reuse of construction materials. Working in line with UK guidelines, the handy map-based platform shows the geographical distribution of members' construction sites and activity across the UK. The platform's data enables members to proactively plan the sourcing and removal of recycled construction materials locally. Significant savings can be made amongst members by making simple trades to avoid costly landfilling or overpayment of materials already potentially available as surplus or locally.

We are responsible for decommissioning 12 Magnox nuclear sites and operating 1 hydro-electric plant spread across the UK. Berkeley in Gloucestershire and Bradwell in Essex were the first two sites to begin electricity generation in 1962. Wylfa on Anglesey was the last site to be built and the last to stop generating in 2015. In total, the Magnox sites produced more than 1,000 terawatt hours of electricity and generated for more than 300 years. To effectively managing our decommissioning work we organise it into programmes, to deliver safe, efficient and consistent solutions for hazard reduction across all our sites.
