The focus of this research is to investigate the existing state of Circular Economy (CE) in brownfield regeneration. Both CE and brownfield regeneration have three main drivers at core: economy, environment, and society. As both have shared core elements, this research is focused on understanding the adoption of CE during different stages of brownfield redevelopment projects. A framework has also been developed around these core elements and principles, which will be validated through expert opinion.
Brownfield Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC) is based at the University of Wolverhampton. The research centre is partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
