Contamination & Geotech Expo has been rebranded and refocused to the Contamination & Land Remediation Expo (CLR). The newly transformed event will take centre stage at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre (NEC) on 13-14 September 2023, as part of the broader Environmental Services & Solutions Expo (ESS) initiative.

Accompanying this news is the recent launch of the National Environmental Services Survey. The survey signifies an ambitious effort to understand and address the most pressing environmental concerns at a national scale. The survey's findings will shape the dialogue at CLR and the wider ESS Expo, steering the development of practical, effective solutions.

The survey is open to all professionals whose work is directly involved in, or connected to, the environment. This could be people that work in the environmental services sector or people in other industries with a focus on sustainability or the environment. You can take part in this national survey here.

CLR's refocus is set to address a broad range of environmental issues, including land contamination, remediation technologies, brownfield site development and biodiversity. A particular emphasis will be placed on addressing the challenges faced by the land remediation sector, presenting practical, innovative solutions to these critical concerns.

The significance of CLR's refocusing is underscored by the UK Government’s commitment to achieving a net-zero carbon footprint by 2050. As the world gears up for COP28, CLR and the broader ESS Expo will catalyse discussions, inspire innovation, and serve as a vital forum for exchanging ideas and solutions.
