CL:AIRE is pleased to announce that the session it jointly proposed for the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) Europe 35th Annual Meeting, which will be held from 11-15 May 2025 in Vienna, Austria, has been selected for the call for abstracts.

Session Title: Hazards and Risks in Soil Management - Balancing Practicality, Sustainability, and Ecosystem Protection

Track: Environmental Policy, Risk Management, and Science Communication

The session Chairs are particularly keen to encourage submissions from case study sites, especially construction projects that have actively assessed and managed soil health. Your practical insights will be invaluable in shaping discussions around sustainable soil management and soil environmental risk assessment.

We invite you to submit abstracts on topics including, but not limited to:
• Advanced soil characterisation techniques
• Contaminant fate and bioavailability assessment
• Impacts on soil biodiversity and ecosystem functions
• Tiered risk assessment approaches
• Nature-based solutions for ecosystem restoration

Abstracts must be submitted before 20 November 2024.
