CL:AIRE is delighted to announce that its Technology and Research Group (TRG) has a new member - Tom Hayes from INEOS. A short biography is provided below.
The TRG is an advisory group made up of leading professionals who support CL:AIRE on technology development and research, provide guidance on issues relating to the sustainable reuse of land and review all its publications and training.
Seamus Lefroy-Brooks stepped down from the TRG at the end of last year and our thanks goes to Seamus for his valued contributions over many years, including being a former TRG Chair. The current list of TRG members is provided here>>>.
Tom Hayes, INEOS
Tom is a chartered environmental professional and a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society with over 25 years’ experience in managing contaminated land and groundwater issues as well as other environmental topics such a mine closure, wastewater treatment, climate change assessment and mitigation, water scarcity assessment and biodiversity improvement. Tom’s contaminated land experience includes a wide variety of remediation contracting, consulting, liability management within client organisations and M&A due diligence on both the buy and sale sides.
From 2017 Tom has worked in the global chemicals industry managing environmental labilities in the UK, continental Europe, the USA, South Africa and China. His work has included significant amounts of stakeholder engagement with regulators and NGO’s, as well as financial auditors and market investors in a variety of different global jurisdictions.
