The SEquential REactive BARrier (SEREBAR) Groundwater Treatment system is a Permeable Reactive Barrier (PRB), which was constructed on a former gasworks site in 2003.
The SEREBAR project forms one of the longest running research projects of its kind in the world and one of the few which have provided active contamination management on a commercial scale.
This bulletin provides a review of the 11 year operation of the SEREBAR groundwater treatment system, previously described in CL:AIRE publication TDP17.
