Qualified Persons are reminded that QP Renewals will be open from Tuesday, 3 January 2023.
The renewal link will be made available on the Actions panel of your QP Dashboard (the first page you land on after logging in https://www.claire.co.uk).
The following QP renewal 2023 checklist will ensure you are up-to-date and able to renew.
Chartership
Please ensure your Chartership is up to date with your Professional Institution, you will be asked to provide evidence of your active membership (payment receipt).
Fees
QP Registration fees for 2023 remain at £150 for the private sector and £105 for the public sector.
CPD requirements
Please make sure that your annual CPD log is up to date on the CL:AIRE website. As a reminder, this log must reflect a minimum of 30 hrs spent on the planning, management, regulation or oversight of DoW CoP, remediation or other projects involving materials management.
You can either log your individual CPD records or upload a full CPD statement for 2022 that you have exported from elsewhere, via the CPD panel on your Dashboard.
From February 2023, QP CPD logs will be randomly selected for audit.
The audit will consider if:
- you have uploaded your CPD by the deadline;
- your CPD log meets the requirement of a minimum of 30 hrs;
- the CPD logged is relevant to the application of DoW CoP;
- there is evidence that your Chartership status is up to date.
Failure to comply with the QP CPD requirements will result in your temporary removal from the Online QP Register.
Timings
Payments for 2023 registration can be made from 3rd January, as can the submission of the renewal form.
The online QP Register will be re-set at the end of January 2023; if we have not received updated information and payment by 31 January, your name will be removed from the Register.
If for whatever reason, the deadline is missed and QPs wish to renew at a later date, they will be charged the full annual amount and not pro-rata for the remainder of the year; QPs will still be required to meet the online test and CPD requirements.
QP's whose renewal or payment is received after the deadline of 31 January, are advised to allow up to 48 hours to be re-instated on the QP Register.
Portal
QPs are reminded to register on the Portal in order to submit DoW CoP Declarations.
QP's who have not completed the renewals process and paid their registration fees by 31 January will become Inactive on the Portal.
Inactive QPs are able to view their past Declarations but will be unable to submit new ones.
QPs who miss the Renewal deadline or, for whatever reason, renew at a later date, are advised to allow up to 48 hours to be re-activated in the Portal.
If you have any questions about the process please don’t hesitate to get in contact - HelpDesk.
