The DoW CoP Professional Report is a personalised document that summarises and evaluates your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) related to the use of the DoW CoP over the past five years (specifically from 2019). Its purpose is to effectively demonstrate your competencies as a DoW CoP Qualified Person (QP). This is an additional requirement for the 2024 QP Renewal*.
Additionally, it can include supplementary experience related to sustainable material management/reuse, remediation or circular economy. You could refer to the following guidelines and structure of content to guide your writing:
50% of the content should concentrate on the summary of on-the-job experience, including but not limited to:
- Direct application of your technical skill and knowledge of LCRM (Land Contamination Risk Management), along with other relevant industry standards and government guidance in executing land redevelopment projects.
- Active contributions to the implementation and / or execution of Materials Management Plans (MMP).
- Acting as a project QP and / or providing guidance to the project team on the development of a comprehensive MMP.
30% of the content should focus on the commitment to Professional Standards and a proactive approach to self-learning and professional development, including but not limited to:
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry and government good practices, strategies, and guidance.
- Active participation in DoW CoP or material reuse related events, such as attending conferences, training courses and networking activities.
- Contributions to events related to sustainable development and circular economy initiatives.
- Applying learning outcomes from in-person experience and relevant case studies to enhance practices within the DoW CoP and / or other soil remediation / material reuse projects.
20% of the content should highlight communication and knowledge-sharing experiences, including but not limited to:
- Understanding the importance of sustainable material reuse and the promotion of circular economy principles on project sites and within the development industry.
- Active contributions to the land redevelopment and sustainable development workshop(s) and working group(s).
- Creation of training materials and the delivery of sustainable material reuse training for both internal and / or external audiences.
The Report must be submitted in pdf format. It should be well structured, clear, and concise, demonstrating depth in your discussion of both past and current work as well as learning experiences. It must include a minimum of 1000 words and not more than five A4-size pages. It is not necessary to include specific project details in the Report.
